Town Bridge

Town Bridge - Broad Ford on the River hence Bradford-on-Avon (River in Celtic word). Two arches of the bridge are a 13th Century Norman pack bridge. The Lock-up at the left may have replaced a medieval chapel. Copper gilt weather vane - Bradford Gudgeon. Prisoners were said to be under the fish and over the water.
